National Day(s) of Listening

The National Day of Listening is November 27, 2009. On the day after Thanksgiving, set aside some time to record a conversation with someone you care about. Share your story! You can interview anyone you choose: a relative, a friend, a teacher, a foreign friend or visitor, someone from your class or the neighborhood. Do it in a foreign language, and then send us the files so we can feature them on our website! Check out Michigan Radio's Story Corps site for simple instructions and inspiration ( and then get your recording gear out. Don't have any? Contact Phill Cameron at the LRC to come in and record here with us. And, by the way: it does not have to be November 27 -- everyday is a good day for listening and having a conversation.
Wanna get started right away? Use the Audio Dropbox application below to record and submit a story file. We will collect your stories and interviews and post them on the LRC webpage. Please put your name and the language you are using in the 'name' box (e.g. John Smith - Finnish)
